LED Lighting Retrofit at the Calgary French International School (CFIS)

MountainLED is happy to announce the completion of our latest LED retrofit project at the Calgary French and International School (CFIS) private school in Calgary. CFIS is ranked as the #1 French immersion school in Alberta, hosting grades from Kindergarten to Grade 12 from their modern 120,000 square foot education facility. CFIS was ranked #1 out of 262 high schools by Fraser Institute in 2016/2017.

This project included the retrofit of over 3900 fluorescent and metal halide lighting with long-lasting, energy efficient LED lighting. As a result of this project, the school reduced it's total lighting electrical use by more than 50%, as well as improved the overall lighting quality.

MountainLED worked closely with school management to carefully design the project for the highest possible economic return using lighting from high quality manufacturers. MountainLED helped CFIS secure a generous grant from Energy Efficiency Alberta's Business Energy Savings Program , which provided a substantial amount of financing for this project.
